Senior Concept Design Architect

Godwin Austen Johnson (GAJ) are looking for a Senior Concept Design Architect to be based in their Dubai Head Office.  Must have experience in Hospitality and Resort Planning and mixed used master planning with at least 20 years’ experience – preference shall be given  to those who are available immediately.

Applicants are required to submit an extensive portfolio of designed as well as built works and should be available for technical skills-set evaluation with a portfolio (especially hotel and resort design concept projects) that covers a range of projects from initial master planning up to construction documentation in the mixed-use, hospitality, leisure, education, commercial and health services sectors.

Successful candidates will be expected to be able to establish, maintain and develop relationships with key project stakeholders, interface with clients and prepare and present projects at board level stakeholder meetings.  They will also be required to undertake design management leadership acting as project design lead or project component delivery lead, leading the GAJ in-house design team.  This also includes sub-consultant interaction, coordination and management. Within the framework of the respective project scope of services including the coordination of infrastructure and utility services.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Membership of ARB/RIBA is a must
• 20 + years of experience in Architecture
• Knowledge of UAE authority standards, regulations and requirements
• Proficiency in Architectural software such as 3D Sketch-up, Autocad, Revit (BIM), Photoshop etc.
