About the Role
As Finance Business Partner (Commercial) you will and play a pivotal role in delivering crucial financial insights that shape key business decisions.
In this role, you'll take ownership of:
- Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets.
- Leading on the financial aspects of business cases, including costing complex proposals and reviewing existing products and services for defined business areas.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with budget holders, providing support and helping them to understand income performance and maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of their expenditure.
- Developing, in conjunction with the Head of FP&A and Head of Risk, Planning and Performance, business performance measurements, including KPIs, balanced scorecards, dashboards, and benchmarking data for both financial and non-financial business measures
- Providing ad-hoc collaborative support to senior colleagues including updating financial forecasts.
- Creating, developing and maintaining a costing model to analyse the value and profitability of products and services
- Leveraging your expertise in Excel and financial systems to enhance reporting, improve financial controls, and drive forecasting and budgeting accuracy.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant experience in a Finance Business Partnering role.
- Proven track record in budget preparation, long-term business planning, and developing robust business cases for new initiatives.
- Commercial experience in either the private sector or a commercially-focused charity.
- Demonstrated ability to create diverse financial reports, using historical and forecasting data tailored to different audiences.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities, adaptable to various stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and hands-on experience with accounting systems.
Desirable:
- Experience with Open Accounts.
- Background in both commercial and not-for-profit sectors.
