Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist

We are a local award winning Architect practice based in Lincoln working throughout the midlands.  We have big values for being approachable, dependable and loyal to our clients.  We have an already large and growing client base of property developers and investors who provide us with repeat work due to our caring, empathetic approach, delivering excellent service and understanding of how to maximise the potential in their developments. We focus on the residential sector, from house conversions, HMO properties, student accommodation, commercial conversions, one off house designs and developer housing.  It is our company’s mission to provide better quality homes and environments for everyone and are looking for someone who has experience and can question the norm to provide unique solutions to our client’s problems. The projects are fast paced and full of energy, which keeps workload varied and exciting.

We currently have eight dedicated members of the team and are looking to expand and recruit a new valued colleague who is ready to pursue a senior role in the practice by being proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable with a genuine desire to help our team and client’s realise their projects’ potential.

Our ideal team member is flexible, capable of managing time efficiently to be able to deliver multiple projects simultaneously. They would have past experience of being involved in projects at all RIBA Work Stages, with the adaptability to work and engage in an empathetic manner with individual client’s needs.  This is an excellent opportunity to grow with a dynamic expanding business and take on further roles and responsibilities to help support you and your career progressions.
 

Main Duties

• Assisting in the preparation of drawings
• Main project lead for various residential projects

Person Specification

• Minimum 10 years’ industry experience
• CIAT/ ARB/RIBA qualified
• Proficient at Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Full, clean driving license and access to transport
• Proficiency and strong knowledge with current UK Building Regulations
• Experience with detailing common solutions to junctions/interfaces
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working on residential projects with contract value between £500k - £5m
• Excellent time management skills
• Has a natural drive and proactive personality to keep projects moving
• Experience managing workload and prioritising tasks
• Team player mentality
