About the company and role:

Penguin Recruitment is current supporting Chartered practice based in Derby, who are looking to expand their ready successful team, with added technical staff. My client works across the Hotel, Hospitality, Healthcare, Public, Science & Technology and Master Planning sectors and also offer their services to Principal Designer and Project Management professionals too.

The ideal candidate will already have several years post qualification experience, matched with excellent Revit and AutoCAD skills. Your supporting portfolio should highlight your attention to detail and strong technical abilities. Commercial project experience would be essential.

Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role of Architectural Technician/ Technologist:

• Fully confident in the use of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Relevant project experience across the sectors listed above.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Several years UK based experience working as an Architectural Technician/ Technologist.
• Sound knowledge of the UK building regulations and planning policies.
• Confident communicating to both your design team and external clients/ contractors.
• Support the Directors through all RIBA stages of projects.
• Deliver work to a high standard within the given time frames.
• Ideally be CIAT or working towards chartership.
• Good at problem solving and making solutions.
• Living locally to Derby and ideally your own transport.
