My client is seeking a newly qualified and talented Architect or Technologist to join their team, specialising in bespoke private residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic, motivated, and creative individual to embark on a challenging and rewarding career in high-end residential design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Manage and deliver projects across all RIBA work stages, ensuring adherence to construction detailing and regulations.

• Technical Detailing: Contribute to the development of detailed technical drawings, with a focus on residential projects. Experience in high-end bespoke project detailing is a significant advantage.

• Independent and Team Work: Work independently without supervision as well as collaboratively within complex, multi-agency teams.

• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Confidently consult with clients, design team consultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Problem-Solving: Apply a practical approach to solving design and construction challenges, ensuring projects meet deadlines and are delivered within agreed timeframes, costs, and resources.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Some experience in residential detailing is required, with additional experience in high-end bespoke projects being advantageous.

• Design and Technical Skills: Strong design abilities paired with excellent technical detailing skills.

• Knowledge and Regulations: A thorough understanding of UK planning, building regulations, building systems, and construction types.

• Contract Knowledge: Good knowledge of building contracts and contract administration.

• Software Skills: Experience with ArchiCAD is an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

• Architectural Concepts: Working knowledge of traditional and classical architectural concepts is beneficial but not essential. An interest in the work is key.

• Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel within the UK as required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to build trust with clients, consultants, and team members.

• Capable of managing workloads to meet project deadlines while delivering high-quality results.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex design challenges.
