Job Opportunity: Senior Architect for Prestigious Projects in Edinburgh
We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Architect to join our client’s expanding team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of prestigious projects across Scotland and the north of England. The role involves working on a variety of projects across all RIBA stages, collaborating closely with a diverse consultant team. Our client offers a rewarding and supportive environment that promotes both personal and professional development.
About the Role: Following the opening of their Edinburgh Studio in January 2024, our client is looking to grow their team to manage and deliver high-quality projects in the heritage sector. They are seeking a candidate with over 5 years of post-qualification experience who is well-organized, knowledgeable, and eager for continued growth. Key responsibilities include managing and delivering work packages on site, particularly through RIBA Stages 3, 4, and 5, and contributing to the financial success of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver projects across all RIBA stages, particularly focusing on RIBA Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Collaborate with a broad consultant team to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Manage a small to medium-sized team effectively
- Handle project management and contract administration
- Ensure financial success and maintain client satisfaction through excellent communication
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
- UK Registered Architect (Part 3 qualified) with at least 5 years of experience as a Project Architect in a UK-based practice
- Accredited or willing to work towards AABC, RIBA, or RIAS conservation accreditation
- Strong technical skills and expertise in detailing
- Experience in conservation and a solid understanding of Scottish Building and Planning regulations
- Proven leadership experience managing a team
- Ability to manage project finances and achieve successful outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience across all RIBA stages, with strong client-facing communication skills
Desirable:
- Proficiency in technical software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and NBS
