Historic Environment Scotland (HES) is seeking candidates for a new role within the National Investment Projects Team, who are responsible for helping coordinate investment strategies for many of our Properties in Care and ancillary buildings. We develop these strategies into Investment Plans, and engage and lead on the delivery stages of key projects identified and prioritised through those plans.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, high performing Major Investment Project Manager/Architect to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with staff both within HES and our partner organisations to lead in the development and implementation of an ambitious, long term Sustainable Management Plan for Holyrood Park, building upon the outcomes of the recent engagement on the Outline Strategic Plan.

Beyond the Holyrood Park project, key duties will be to Manage key projects as part of the National Investment Projects Team and to contribute to the development of Management and Investment Plans and the delivery of Major Projects.
About you:
You will be able to demonstrate strategic, structured thinking along with the ability to demonstrate an exemplary level of planning and organising. Be self-motivating, and able to initiate and develop projects and programmes with minimal supervision.
You will have proven experience of co-ordinating complex projects in a conservation context, resource deployment and financial management and have an in-depth knowledge and proven experience of project, contract, and financial management in relation to investment projects and their operational plans, targets, and budgets,
