Architect, Technician / Technologist - Milton Keynes or London

CMI Architecture is a friendly RIBA/CIAT-Chartered Practice with offices in Milton Keynes and London (Southwark). We work across the residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, education, and industrial sectors. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Architect, Architectural Technician, or Technologist to join our team in a growing practice with a consistently increasing workload.

The correct candidate will have design office experience, demonstrable skills, a strong aptitude for architectural detailing and a keen eye for quality and design to deliver projects during the Technical Design Stage.

Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role:

• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with architects and design team members to develop and refine design concepts.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather relevant information for project development.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members as required.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration tasks.
• Extensive experience in a UK architectural practice, focusing on technical detailing and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software applications.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and materials.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., RIBA/CIAT) is desirable but not essential.
