Responsibilities
We are looking for a Healthcare Architect with a track record and reputation in the sector which will assist with growing the ESA Architecture Healthcare offer within the WSP business.
You will be an outward face of the business for healthcare with involvement in early bid stages and project development.
You will be required to work closely with the Architectural Management team to help nurture and develop the Architectural offer and champion this sector within our expanding Architectural business.
Key Tasks
- To lead the ESA Architecture Healthcare Offer
- Becoming integral to the WSP Healthcare multi-discipline offer, working closely with other discipline leads to develop and secure key opportunities within the Health sector.
- To assist with bidding opportunities in the sector in the UK and overseas
- To develop the ESA Architecture healthcare brand in the region, principally through quality of delivery and design.
- To support the development of quality of healthcare design within the business.
- To support the development of the volume of work won and delivered in the sector.
- To engage in developing design talent and performance in the sector
- To support the the Architectural Management team in growing the business and meeting financial targets
Qualifications
- You will be a professionally qualified Architect with recognised experience of Healthcare Design from both client and design sides.
- Experience of working with the NHS and with trust advisors is essential to understand the expectations and concerns of all parties.
- You will also bring a background of process and delivery for healthcare projects working within successful developed systems based on key principles of evidence based design.
- Healthcare brings with it its own language. The ability to communicate and often translate between clinical expectations and design and construction process is hugely important. The building of relationships needs to be easy and rapid and is usually based on trust and understanding. This is an area where you will have had a great deal of experience.
- You must have the ability to direct teams.
- Have excellent attention to detail, efficiency and quality.
- Be a people person and be a good communicator with both clients and professional delivery staff.
- Capable of working without direct supervision and be competitive and ambitious in nature.
