Architectural Technician Job in Sevenoaks, Kent

Hunter Dunning Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for an Architectural Technician job opportunity at our client's employee-owned firm in Sevenoaks. This role offers a unique chance to join a multidisciplinary team, working on a variety of projects spanning residential, healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, and more.

Based across two offices with over twenty members of staff this employee owned multidisciplinary practice offers a range of services including Architectural, building surveying and project management.

Current projects include large- and small-scale residential development and healthcare projects.

Due continued success they are now seeking an Architectural Technician to join the team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work on the production of technical drawing packages
• Budget estimates. Specify materials and products, write work descriptions, and prepare preliminary documents
• Design presentation materials like boards and layouts
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC guidelines, and other relevant laws
• Assess risks and create Health and Safety Plans according to regulations
• Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with drawings and issue instructions as needed
• Organize drawings properly and back up computer files monthly
• Measure existing buildings on-site as required for projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Possess a minimum of 3 years in practice experience
• Skilled in the use of Auto-CAD
• Current knowledge of UK regulations
• Experience in UK based residential, commercial, or healthcare projects.

• Salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience
