Architectural Technologist

Cocoon Architects are on the lookout for passionate and motivated Technologists to contribute to the creation of extraordinary, sustainable homes for our clients.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who will thrive on the responsibility to provide both creative design solutions and technical design information for our innovative new homes and extensions, collaborating with homeowners and developers alike.

The role will be provided on a contract basis, typically 2-4 days a week.

What the role entails:

• Navigating projects through RIBA Stage 4, involving client liaison for design decisions, coorindation with consultants and specialists, and delivery of technical information for tender submissions;
• Supporting projects during RIBA Stage 5 with package updates and managing contractor queries.  Site attendance will be available if location allows;
• Providing design and technical support for projects in RIBA Stages 2-3.

What we're looking for:

• Solid technical expertise in construction methods and materials, coupled with an in-depth understanding of building regulations, standards, and construction;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Experience in collaborating with clients, contractors, and industry professionals.

Minimum qualifications/experience:

• 10 years of experience in the technical design of domestic projects in the UK.
• Proficiency in Revit.

Preferred additional qualifications/experience:

• Qualified Architectural Technologist;
• CIAT Registration;
• Proficiency/experience with Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop;
• Proficiency/experience with Enscape.

Skills can be taught, experience can be gained, but enthusiasm and motivation are key.
