Architectural Technologist / Technician - Temporary Cover Contract

We are a friendly and vibrant studio in Richmond, south-west London, 5 minutes walk from Richmond Station (overground/underground), overlooking Kew Gardens. We are seeking an experienced architectural technologist or architectural technician on a temporary cover contract basis with relevant experience of residential works, to join our busy team. AutoCAD, Sketchup, hand drawings skills and MS Office required. An excellent knowledge of building regulations, specification writing, tender and building regulations drawings will be needed. The job will include site visits and liaison with tradespeople, suppliers, and consultants to develop details, and working drawing junctions as part of a project team.

We work closely with a range of domestic and developer clients so an understanding of this environment would be useful. The successful applicant will be expected to manage their workload and deadlines under the direction of the senior architect team. You will be office based although we can discuss home working hybrid for the right candidate. The work is varied in scale and is carefully managed using our in-house software and management processes. A pro-active approach to technical design development, liaising with a full range of consultants and internal design team management, will be part of the day-to-day.
