Architect / Technician (qualified or post-Part II)

 Architect (qualified or post-Part II) or technician with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience required for busy small West London practice working predominantly in Kensington & Chelsea. Our work is mostly high-end residential design for high net-worth end-user clients or developers. The projects are most often full refurbishments with extensions and/or basements. We provide a bespoke service for clients acting as architects, interior designers, project managers and sometimes contractor. We usually work through all RIBA service stages including after-care.

We’re looking for a candidate with good Autocad and Revit skills along with a good understanding of domestic technical detailing and regulatory compliance. Some experience of working with Listed buildings and an understanding of construction principles will be helpful. There will be plentiful opportunities for on-site experience – some experience of this would be helpful but not essential as we will provide training to help the candidate develop in this area. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated but flexible to work within an overlapping team structure covering jobs at different stages of development. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with everyone in the team is essential for our small team. Additional software skills (eg Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup etc) or other areas of specialism would be welcomed.

We offer flexible working hours to suit child-care or other needs and for this reason we offer positions on a self-employed basis. We are based near Gloucester Road tube station with the majority of our sites being within 2 miles of the office.
