They are dedicated to supporting legal professionals and their clients by offering impartial and authoritative insights on complex matters. They work on a wide range of cases, including construction disputes, architectural malpractice claims, and building code violations.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking an Architect Witness Expert to join our team of professionals. As an Architect Witness Expert, you will be responsible for providing expert opinions, analysis, and testimony in legal proceedings related to architectural issues. Your role will involve reviewing architectural plans, conducting site visits, evaluating construction practices, and delivering objective reports to support litigation processes.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Perform on-site visits to evaluate the quality of construction, adherence to architectural standards, and compliance with building codes.

Analyze and assess architectural drawings, designs, and construction practices for defects, errors, or deviations.

Prepare detailed reports outlining your findings, opinions, and recommendations based on your architectural expertise.

Collaborate with legal teams, attorneys, and clients to understand the specific requirements of each case and provide expert guidance accordingly.

Provide expert testimony in depositions, hearings, and trials, clearly articulating complex architectural concepts in a manner that is accessible to both legal professionals and laypersons.

Stay updated with current architectural trends, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the highest level of expertise.

Requirements:

Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Extensive experience working as a practicing architect, with a strong understanding of architectural principles, design processes, and construction techniques.

In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Previous experience providing expert witness services, including delivering expert testimony in legal proceedings, is highly desirable.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex architectural concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple cases simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.

Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain objectivity and impartiality in all situations.

Membership in professional architectural organizations and relevant certifications are a plus.
