Assistant Project Manager (Estates and Sustainability)

1.0 FTE / 35 hours per week; Grade 6, £28,929.00 - £35,308.00

Office based at our Derriford Campus

Who we’re looking for:

  • You must have a degree in a construction related subject (Architectural Technology, Architecture, Building Surveying, Engineering) and have at least one years relevant experience since obtaining your degree.
  • You must be able to prepare architectural CAD information.

What you’d be doing:

  • You will be responsible for the management of construction related projects, including writing specifications and producing drawn information for smaller projects to directly supervise. works.
  • In addition, for larger projects, you will be responsible for the preparation of Employers requirements information and procuring consultants.
  • You will be required to work with other members of the Estates and Campus Development team, Academic and Professional staff and students, as well as consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • As part of the team, you will contribute to creating a campus environment where students, staff and visitors feel welcomed, encouraged and safe.

You’ll need to enjoy:

  • The challenge of working on a diverse range of projects, including building refurbishment, external environmental schemes, sports facilities and space planning.
  • Collaborating with a range of people to ensure the successful outcome of projects.
  • Being flexible in your approach to cope with the variety of tasks you will be required to deal with.

Where you’ll work:

In this role, you’ll be based in the Estates and Campus Development team, on our campus in the north of Plymouth.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be required to work on site full-time. Following completion of a successful probationary period you may be permitted to work a maximum of one day per week from home, subject to the requirements of the role.
