About the Role

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is a professional membership body and a cultural institution driving excellence in architecture. We serve our members and society in order to deliver better buildings and places, stronger communities and a sustainable environment.

Reporting to the Head of Education Projects and working with the Education Projects Administrator as a valued member of a small and friendly team, you will develop and deliver a diverse range of projects and initiatives within broad guidelines and with limited budgets.

The primary purpose of this post is to develop and coordinate core projects and activities with a focus on the management of RIBA’s international programme of scholarships and bursaries; on promoting and delivering initiatives that are of relevance and benefit for architecture students, graduates, academics, and practitioners; and on contributing towards the successful delivery of RIBA’s well-regarded global programme of education awards.

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to work in a highly organised and resourceful manner
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Able to work with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy and communication skills
  • Capable of successfully delivering a diverse range of initiatives and projects with experience in one or more of the following areas: event management, project management, higher education administration, arts administration, academic research, grant administration, committee support
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • An appreciation of architecture, design, or other creative disciplines and professions is very desirable
