An exciting opportunity has now become available for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a multi-award-winning practice based in Essex. This RIBA chartered practice are looking for someone to provide technical lead on a number of projects, as well as technical support to colleagues within the practice. The practice covers a wide range of projects in a variety of different sectors including Residential, Hotels, Bars + Restaurants, Education, Commercial, Civic + Community and Healthcare.

The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility and will have the opportunity to work on work with national housebuilders and private developers. The desired candidate will be highly proficient with the usage of AutoCAD and have an in-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations as well as possess project management ability.

Skills and Responsibilities for this Architectural Technician role:

• Assisting with measured surveys on site
• Attend design meetings and site meetings
• Liaise with internal contacts to determine project requirements
• Able to work effectively under pressure
• Flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team

Essentials needed for this Architectural Technician role:

• Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of building regulations
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Able to produce high quality technical drawings
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
