About the Role:

We are looking for someone to join the Content team at a pivotal moment in RIBA’s story. This role will focus on senior content innovation and be a partnerships specialist.

Are you a strategic thinker and skilled influencer? Can you connect people and get them onboard to deliver real change and results, at pace? If so, you might be the person we’re looking for.

We’re looking for an emotionally intelligent, driven individual who can support and inspire their colleagues; someone with the confidence to settle in quickly and gain trust within the organisation over a twelve-month period.

This role will be responsible for helping to fulfil the ambitious digital objectives set out in our biennial plan. You will develop an overarching content strategy for our priority content projects such as our ‘House of Architecture’ and ‘Practice in a Box’ programmes, as well as wider audience growth and engagement initiatives. This will require deep understanding of our audiences to ensure that we produce exceptional content that supports our members, celebrates brilliant architecture, and educates and inspires the public and aspiring architects.

What are we looking for?

  • You will effectively plan, scope, and manage project delivery.  You will be collaborating and work with key stakeholders and experts across the organisation including our content, strategy, communications, technology, and public programmes teams to introduce new ways of working and measurable improvements across our digital channels.
  • You will work with marketing colleagues to expand our use of social media and commission new content to engage the next generation, removing barriers and driving accessibility and discoverability of our outputs.
  • Working with the Head of Content you will develop new content partnerships within and outside RIBA that widen our reach and deepen engagement.
  • You will use your digital knowhow and project management experience to lead projects that will enhance our ability to produce, present and promote our content – such as content migration and CMS improvements.
  • To succeed in the role, you’ll need a combination of digital editorial expertise, production nous, strategic thinking, and robust project planning skills

If you would like to apply for the position, please view the full job description below (found at 'supporting documents') and submit your CV and covering letter that should include your notice period. Additionally, please ensure that you complete our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form which will be submitted separate from your application.

Closing date: Sunday, 18 December 2022 (at midnight)

The RIBA aims to be an inclusive employer, committed to building an authentic and diverse environment where all are encouraged to be themselves. We champion work/life balance and welcome requests for flexible working across our organisation. We value applications from all sections of society and appreciate divergent experience, therefore if you are excited about the role and working with us, yet your past experience may not align perfectly with every single skill or competency, we encourage you to apply anyway.
