About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced chartered architect or technologist with UK practice experience who is looking for a new challenge to join us as CPD Assessment Advisor. Your role would be to assess technical CPD material for the RIBA CPD Providers Network as part of the Practice and Individual Knowledge team.

More than 42,000 delegates received free RIBA-assessed Providers Network CPD in more than 5,300 in-practice events last year, choosing from more than 1,400 pieces of assessed content. This role will be to assess incoming CPD material from the subscribing construction product manufacturers, with specific focus on amended and updated content.

Wondering what we are looking for?

  • You must have a postgraduate or professional qualification in architecture and considerable technical practical experience of working in UK architecture practice.
  • You will have demonstrable understanding of issues pertinent to health, life and fire safety and the CDM Regulations; sustainable design and construction; inclusive environments; safe UK specification practice; and UK construction legislation and regulations. We will be testing you on these and similar issues in the interview.
  • You will also have good IT skills, experience of working with Microsoft applications, and digital information and collaboration tools and will hopefully have used customer CRM databases.
  • You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, understandable, high-quality reports for customers

In return we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues and the chance to really make a difference. If you think you have what it takes to perform this role effectively, then we’d love to hear from you. We are happy to consider applications for part time work.

We cannot consider applications from non-architects or architects without UK practice experience. We regret that we cannot progress applications unless they are accompanied by a written a candidate statement outlining how you meet the requirements of the role.

If you would like to apply for the position, please view the full job description below (found at 'supporting documents') and submit your CV and covering letter using the form below.

Additionally, please ensure that you complete our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form which will be submitted separate from your application.

Closing date: Sunday, 4 December 2022
Interview date: To be confirmed

Due to high volumes of applications we are unable to respond to everyone, however, should you be shortlisted for interview we will be in touch.  We may also close an advert earlier then the date above if we receive enough quality applications.

Please note that you must be able to demonstrate that you have the Right to Work in the UK.  We are unable to proceed with any candidates who cannot show the relevant documentation so please only apply if you meet these criteria. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

The RIBA aims to be an inclusive employer, committed to building an authentic and diverse environment where all are encouraged to be themselves. We champion work/life balance and welcome requests for flexible working across our organisation. We value applications from all sections of society and appreciate divergent experience, therefore if you are excited about the role and working with us, yet your past experience may not align perfectly with every single skill or competency, we encourage you to apply anyway.
