Project Architect RIBA

Important: Only accepting applications from RIBA chartered architects

Location: Greenwich London SE8

What’s the job?

Project Architect leading a small team working mostly on small to medium-scale residential refurbishments and new-build developments.

You will be mentoring and guiding architectural assistants, but our team is bright, ambitious and resourceful, so the bulk of your role will not consist of assigning tasks or monitoring work. You will have plenty of time for design work and leading your own projects.

It’s a job with plenty of variety in terms of the type of projects we take on, a great opportunity to work with interesting clients and there will be endless scope for you to be creative.

Who we are?

We are a multidisciplinary practice combining architecture, planning, interior design and urban design. We offer the breadth of expertise of a much bigger firm with the client focus of a compact, flexible set-up.

Urbanist Architecture is a place where talent can thrive and be appreciated. And we’re a team who work as a team – we’re people who love collaborating.

Who you are?

The person we are looking for an enthusiastic client-facing Project Architect with strong design skills and a proven track record of coordinating design processes for small to medium projects through RIBA Stages 0-5. Does that sound like you?

You need to be a Chartered Member of the RIBA with at least three years of post-qualification experience. And you need to demonstrate experience of the town planning system, building regulations, NBS specifications, design coordination, procurement processes, and sustainable construction methods and detailing.

Because the role involves taking the lead on specific projects, liaising with built environment professionals and dealing directly with clients, we are looking for an excellent communicator who can work independently and has effective leadership and organisational skills.

Here are the six main traits we think the ideal candidate will have:

  1. Drive
  2. Integrity
  3. Collaboration
  4. Focus
  5. Efficiency & Effectiveness
  6. Innovation

If you are looking for your next move with a London-based small multidisciplinary firm that never stands still, this opportunity could be a great fit for you!

We want to move on this swiftly so send in your application promptly to be considered. Click on the "Apply" button below to submit your application.
