The architect’s positions would suit someone who has qualified within the last five years, who has a broad range of experience across the architect’s traditional role and who is interested in conservation. We are looking for someone to play a key role in the practice, someone with:

  • Experience with client facing role and job running
  • A good knowledge of statutory approvals and experience gaining them
  • Competent at detailing and with good technical knowledge
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Familiar with NBS and with good specification writing skills
  • Good written English
  • Able to do research and archive searches and prepare heritage statements
  • Some experience working with builders and administering contracts
  • A good all-rounder who can help with a range of projects
  • Someone enthusiastic about building conservation

The part 2 applicant needs to be able to work well within a team, supporting others but able to grow quickly and take initiative. Experience across the architect’s traditional role particularly knowledge of regulations and experience preparing construction information is desirable, but essentially we need someone interested in building conservation. We are looking for someone wanting to grow with the practice, a team player, someone with:

A good knowledge of statutory approvals Knowledge of preparing construction information Familiar with software packages including AutoCAD and InDesign, rhino or SketchUp Able to prepare drawings for presentations and planning Good model making skills Keen to gain experience working with builders on site
