Salary: c£50,000 per annum based on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time 6-month fixed term contract

About the Role
This is an exciting and fast-paced role leading, managing and co-ordinating the day-to-day operation of the RIBA’s Venue business and guest experience at 66 Portland Place, London – our iconic HQ building - whilst achieving revenue targets to ensure the RIBA is one of the leading high-quality venues in central London.
This role involves leading a dedicated venue operations and sales team to ensure a first-class visitor experience as well as ensuring all activity in the building is coordinated centrally and managed according to industry best practice, and to maximise revenue, through innovative sales practices and business development strategy.
The post holder has responsibility to ensure full compliance to legislation, health and safety and fire regulations, licences, and other legal requirements, as well as operating controls, SOP’s, policies, and service standards, ensuring the venue is run in a safe, orderly, and disciplined manner.
Managing and developing relationships with both commercial clients and internal stakeholders is crucial to success in this role which also involves working with external contractors and suppliers.
Wondering what we are looking for?
Candidates should have strong management and communication skills and be good at team motivation. They should have experience of delivering medium to large scale corporate events to high customer service standards, with associated skills in sales and marketing and event production.
Ideally, they will have extensive experience in a similar role in corporate hospitality and event production in a high-profile, high-quality venue or hotel setting.
