Architect (Associate / Associate Director)

With a busy workload and exciting projects in the pipeline we are looking to recruit a talented architect to join the Rural Design team.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you are an all-rounder with strong design skills, sound technical knowledge and hands-on experience of delivering projects under traditional contracts. We anticipate that you are likely to have 7+ years post-qualification experience.

You will have previous experience in a similar role and a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to run projects, work autonomously and supervise staff.

As our first point of contact with clients, contractors, consultants, planners and other project stakeholders you will have great interpersonal skills and be highly organised. Experience of early stage involvement with potential clients is desirable.

Vectorworks experience is advantageous but not essential.

We are a friendly team, keen to share our knowledge and expertise. The post is based in our studio in Portree on the Isle of Skye. Initially we would consider hybrid working arrangements subject to a weekly presence in the studio.
