Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Location: Surrey
Salary Expectations: £24,000 - £33,000
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with RIBA Chartered Practice based in Surrey. My client is looking for an experienced Architect to join a busy team of Architects and Surveyors who will be working on projects within the Residential, Commercial and Education sectors.
The right candidate will demonstrate UK project experience seen through from initial client contact to completion with experience in all RIBA work stages. The perfect candidate will also hold a very good understanding of construction detailing and construction methods.

Skills and Responsibilities for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant role:
- To assist in the design and drawings for building regulations
- To produce technical drawings
- To implement and assemble surveys, primary appraisal schemes, concept layouts and concluding planning layouts
- To work accurately to meet deadlines, collectively working in sync with my client's team members and other external consultants
- To be up to date with the latest regulations regarding Planning and Building to plan packages and create submissions
- To implement and manage any issue tender packages
Essentials needed for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant role:
- A good knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation
- Use of Microsoft office
- 3D drafting and use of SketchUp
- Exposure to site inspections
- Knowledge of building regulations
- A good written and verbal communication
