Architectural Assistant (Part 2)

Jefferson Sheard Architects are seeking a talented and enthusiastic experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to expand our Health sector team in our Sheffield studio. The successful candidate will have excellent design, presentation skills and sound technical knowledge.

Based in our Sheffield Studio (with some flexible home working offered) you will play a key role in the design and delivery of primarily Health sector projects.

You will also be given the opportunity to work nationally on schemes in partnership with our London, Manchester and Peterborough studios across other sectors including education, transport, residential and commercial.

Key responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in delivering Health sector projects across all RIBA stages.
  • Production of relevant drawings and Design and Access Statements for planning applications and technical information for tender packages.
  • Contribute to project meetings with clients and other consultants.
  • Contribute to presentations to client teams, pre-application meetings and other stakeholders.
  • Liaising with clients and other consultants
  • Ensure drawings comply with statutory regulations and relevant local design standards.

Skills required:

  • Proven ability of delivering Health sector projects within the UK across all RIBA work stages.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent design and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Building Regulations
  • Fluent English both verbal and written.
  • Enthusiastic and reliable.
  • Excellent time keeping and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently or supported by a team.
