Fleming Architects is a British Architectural Practice that encompasses architecture and interior design. Our work is predominantly private residential projects, which range from renovations, extensions, new builds, conversions, and work on listed buildings.

Most of our projects encompass all the relevant RIBA stages which means you have the chance to see your designs from concept to completion. As well as a robust infrastructure; all the necessary design packages and regular CPD’s, we maintain a rich, varied and exciting training program and are always open to ideas about what would help your development and benefit the company and team as a whole. The Role

We currently have an opportunity for two Part I’s with the necessary skills to work across all RIBA Stages (0-7) on new build and existing schemes. Good knowledge and understanding of Adobe CS package is essential as are hand drawing skills. Prior knowledge of Vectorworks would be helpful as would 3D software experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Turning initial sketches into digital sketches using Sketch up and Photoshop
• Dedicated to supporting one Associate and the MD (with occasional support to the wider team as and when asked)
• Self management of personal task list and flagging of any schedule clashes, deadline issues or availability
• D & A design
• Drawing and sketching design solutions by hand
• Developing schemes using a CAD package (Vectorworks).
• Producing and submitting planning applications
• Producing and maintaining other documents using MS Office and Adobe CS

Additional Responsibilities:
• Taking responsibility for expansion of own material/construction/design knowledge
• Expanding knowledge of historic country houses and traditional house design principles to help inform the work we do
• Follows established filing systems within the office for drawings and correspondence, plus any other Practice processes
• Being mindful of the principles of conservation and having awareness of the many resources out there (English Heritage/SPAB etc) to be used throughout the design process
• Maintains awareness of the project as a whole, ensures work is carried out within the budget/time constraints

Location: Cotswolds, UK Hours: 9:00am-17:30pm, working in house Mon-Fri
Salary: £20,000-£24,000 DOE
