The RIBA is completely reshaping how we connect with more of our members.
The new focus for our five regional teams (4 in England, 1 in Wales) will provide much greater consistency and a higher level of quality in the product that members receive moving forwards.
We have a vacancy for the Regional Director for the South (which spans the South West, Wessex, South to the South East). The role has 4 direct reports (3 Regional Engagement partners; 1 Regional Administrator).
This is a full-time, permanent, home-based position and will involve travel across the region and the UK to engage with members, potential members and various stakeholders. The post-holder must hold a full UK drivers’ license and have their own vehicle.

What is vital, is that applicants have:
- experience in senior stakeholder relationship management
- evidence of advocating and representing their employer, with existing and potential stakeholders
- people management experience: leading and coaching a remote, home-based team, and co-ordinating their work
- excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and self-confidence in dealing with issues in a tactful and diplomatic manner
- evidence of collaborating effectively with others, and looking flexibly at the wider team resource
