Salary: £25,000 - £27000 per annum (pro rata)
Location: Combination of remote and office-based working
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time temporary contract, 12-week engagement.
An opportunity for an early career professional to develop their writing, commissioning and editorial skills and experience of media production processes as part of a paid 3-month internship with The RIBA Journal.
The assistant editor will report to the editor and be responsible for generating new and exciting content, researching, writing, and collaborating on the whole process from ideas generation through to publication and dissemination.
We are looking for a self-starter with knowledge of the world of architecture and some writing experience. You should have a strong grasp of English and an enthusiasm for digital journalism and social media.
This role will be part of the RIBA Journal which is all about design in the making - useful, practical articles about architecture that are exciting to read, unveiling things our readers can learn from those they look up to and from talents they have not yet discovered.
RIBA Journal is the UK’s largest-circulation architecture magazine. It is made up of daily articles on ribaj.com, regular newsletters, webinars and podcasts, a magazine, RIBA Journal (10 x a year), and a quarterly supplement, Products in Practice.
