Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic Part II assistant to join our design-led practice in Winchester. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a small team, gaining extensive experience across all work stages.
We are a small but friendly practice with a number of exciting projects on the go. We work mostly in the residential sector, with projects ranging from large domestic extensions to single new-build homes and larger residential developments. Our work is focused across the south of the UK and in London. We work closely in collaboration with Metashape Architects in London (www.metashape.co.uk), and we are looking to expand our team to help with the growing number of projects.
Each of our projects is unique; we are context driven, developing a narrative to produce high quality designs informed by the site.
Role
Our new team member will be working with us on various projects at all RIBA work stages. Key tasks may include preparing feasibility studies, layouts, general arrangements and detailed design drawings. All our work is produced in Revit, and we use Adobe software for documents and presentation. We are mostly based in Winchester, with agile working patterns available.
Skills and Experience Required
A good level of skill in Revit is essential; we would also look for proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Some knowledge of detailing is preferred but we understand there will be some learning on the job. As a small practice we can offer good support and development opportunities.
At least 1 year of Part I or Part II experience is required.
Benefits
The salary will be in line with the RIBA salary guide. You will also benefit from a generous holiday allowance, with agile working and a mix of working from home and in the office. The office is situated in the centre of Winchester, a short walk from numerous cafes and the historic High Street.
