Michael Conoley Associates are currently expanding and have vacancies for an applicant seeking to gain experience in a well respected architectural practice. You could be a:

• Architect
• Architectural Technician
• Post diploma Part 2
• Part 1 year out student

We are a small/medium sized chartered practice, and you would initially be based predominantly in our busy office located between Farnham and Godalming. Later this summer we will be moving to a central Farnham location. Duties will include preparation of design/planning and construction drawings for a wide variety of projects but with an emphasis on housing. We offer a wide range of experience in a friendly environment.

The successful applicant should:

• be proficient with AutoCAD but also have manual drafting skills and 3D capability
• have strong written and verbal communication skills
• be motivated, pro-active, organised, questioning and able to take initiative
• have an excellent academic record
• be capable of multi-tasking jobs and working within a team to meet deadlines.

Due to the location of our office and our type of projects, personal transport is essential.

Our residential work consists primarily of large bespoke new dwellings for private clients along with housing and apartment schemes for local developers. Other areas of practice include ecclesiastical and educational projects in addition to significant housing extensions and refurbishments; many of which are to listed buildings. 

Based between Farnham and Godalming, we work regularly in Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire and across London and have a satellite office in Leatherhead.

We work closely with our clients and the constraints of the site to develop the most appropriate architectural solution for every project. As illustrated on our website (www.mcaarchitects.co.uk), our recent work includes contemporary, Arts and Crafts, Queen Anne revival and oak framed buildings.  

We pride ourselves on our expertise of the complicated planning process, particularly in the Green Belt, Conservation Areas and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The practice comprises Chartered Architects, Architectural Assistants, Technicians and qualified support staff.
