Part II Architectural Assistant, Hereford

KODA architects are seeking a part I/ II Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technologist to join its growing, design led, practise in Herefordshire. KODA architects are a unique practice of Architects and Conservation Architects who work throughout the West Midlands including Herefordshire, Cheltenham, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and across the UK. Established by Fred Hamer and Alex Whibley in 2019, KODA architects in Hereford have wealth of knowledge in multiple industry sectors including conservation, commercial, residential, church reordering and church repairs. We have a proven track record of happy clients and successful projects throughout the UK and relish a challenge.

We are looking for a committed and talented new team member to assist in delivering high quality projects across multiple project sectors. Our work ranges from working with grade I listed churches through sensitive alterations and repairs to residential extensions, bespoke houses, new build developer multiple housing units through to carefully retrofitting existing buildings.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technologist with experience, advanced technical knowledge, an exceptional eye for contemporary design and 3D modelling skills to join our team.

Skills and requirements:

• Have a fair knowledge and understanding of current building regulations and understanding of traditional and modern methods of construction. Be suitably qualified, ideally you will have some experience within a UK based practice. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and offer creative solutions and ideas to design problems as part of a team, assisting with the development of design proposals. Assisting in the preparation of technical and presentation drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications. ability to use software proficiently including Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office etc. great attention to detail and good organisational skills good.
