Salary: £ £39,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: London / Remote (Hybrid working)
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time, permanent contract
This role will be part of the RIBA Practice and Individual Knowledge Department, which drives and influences innovation through its knowledge and expertise, and by inspiring professionalism by developing and delivering professional support services for members. The role holder will report to the Head of Technical Practice and be responsible for coordinating projects relating to technical knowledge in architecture and construction, design leadership, Standards and Building Regulations.
The Grenfell Tower tragedy and ongoing inquiry alongside the government’s review of the regulatory regime reveal the need for significant change in regulations, industry processes, professional competence and leadership. The RIBA has been working to support members and the wider construction industry on building safety and the future regulatory regime and the role holder will play a significant part in this work. The built environment has an urgent role to play in responding to the climate emergency and supporting our members and the wider construction industry is central to the Technical Practice Team.
The RIBA is looking for an individual with a construction industry background and experience in technical design, procurement, contracts and appointments. The successful candidate will be able to facilitate working groups, conduct research, write papers and engage in discussions of a highly technical nature with influential industry experts.
