Charcoalblue is the world’s leading multi-national theatre, acoustic, and digital consultancy. We provide guidance and design for a broad range of buildings and events, including theatre, live performance, music, culture, education, workplaces, entertainment, and sport. We engage with all members of a project team – the clients, architects, engineers, cost consultant, and contractors – on how the design choices they make affect the functionality of the building.

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic CAD/BIM Support Assistant, based in the UK supporting our global team of audiovisual designers. This role will be responsible for working closely with our BIM Coordinator to deliver high quality CAD/BIM assistance across the practice and ensuring this is done in line with industry standards.

You will report to the BIM Coordinator, and support on a wide range of projects and will be required to use your own initiative and manage a diverse workload. This role requires demonstrable experience in a similar role, though training in the role and responsibilities will be provided.

An interest in live performance, broadcast, and/or events would be beneficial but is not essential for the role. You should be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of using CAD/BIM software to design theatre/performing arts spaces and systems.

As we work in a distributed model, the role may be undertaken from home with only occasional attendance in the studio and at project/client or site meetings as required.

Charcoalblue is an equal opportunities employer. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive working environment across our practice, and we work consistently to ensure elimination of unfair and discriminatory practices within the Company. Recruitment opportunities are open to all, but we particularly encourage applications from women, members of minority groups, people with disabilities, and anyone who doesn't currently see themselves significantly represented in our teams.
