Busy Award winning Conservation Practice with high profile clients require experienced RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant/Part 3 Architect with excellent CAD skills, able to run projects.

Job
To support conservation architects and surveyors in the creation of CAD drawings and schedules for various projects from feasibility through to construction. To run projects on behalf of partners plus other ad hoc project assistance/coordination as required.
Role will be based both working from home and on site, mostly in London and the South East.

Duties

  • Prepare feasibility, layout, general arrangement and detail design drawings on CAD to agreed protocols. Maintain files and documents in an orderly fashion with correct notation and standard naming convention. Contract administration, arranging/attending/minuting site progress meetings. Compiling planning/LBC applications and submitting. Provide as built documentation for inclusion in the project H&S file. Presentations/case study preparation.

Knowledge and Experience

  • High level working knowledge 2D Auto CAD.
  • Ability to organise AutoCAD drawings using comprehensive & detailed layer system, dynamic blocks, leaders, polylines etc.
  • Good working knowledge Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft office.
  • Technical detailing knowledge (building construction).
  • Good working knowledge of UK building regulations and an understanding of Equality Act 2010 requirements.
  • Experience undertaking building surveys on site and translating into precise AutoCAD drawings.
  • Experience of creating schedules of work.
  • Experience Compiling planning/LBC applications and submitting. Passion for heritage and conservation.
  • Experience running projects.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
