Architect

Gravity Design is a vibrant and friendly multi-disciplinary practice covering architecture, interior design and lighting design based on Bermondsey Street, London SE1.

We have an immediate requirement for an enthusiastic and experienced Architect to join the team. The successful candidate would ideally possess at least three years' experience post-Part 3 qualification.

Our current architectural projects include high-end residential refurbishments, new build multi-unit residential, vertical and lateral extension/conversions and commercial office fit-outs.

Applicants will need a comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations and planning framework combined with excellent construction and technical detailing, listed building experience and the ability to work through all RIBA stages. Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as being comfortable with the client liaison role is essential for this position.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential whilst experience in SketchUp, Photoshop and other 3D modelling software are desirable.

The position is offered initially as a full-time six-month contract with the potential to become permanent. Salary is dependent on experience. The office operates a flexible working policy with a number of working-from-home days per week.
