Pegasus Group are seeking enthusiastic Layout Designers/Urban Designers to join our team in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of designers and be responsible for preparing and overseeing conceptual urban design and planning work, feasibility studies, master planning, development briefs and design strategies for residential and mixed-use schemes with our developers and private clients. You will be managing projects, meeting deadlines, liaising with clients, local authorities and project teams across the business.

 

Ideal candidates will have a demonstrable track record of:

 

  • Working within private practice / consultancy or a commercial housebuilding operation.
  • Visioning and masterplanning for large and small sites.
  • A commercially astute approach to residential layout design.
  • Producing drawn and written information in support of outline, full and reserved matters planning applications.
  • Excellent inter-personal and inter-disciplinary skills.
  • Self-motivated with an excellent eye for detail.
  • A working knowledge of the planning system with an ability to interpret and adapt to specific local authority design guidance.

Candidates will hold a relevant qualification and have knowledge of CAD software packages, experience in Vectorworks (CAD) and/or Sketchup would be an advantage.
