Experienced Architect for Design Manager role to go in-house at a privately owned developer  London 

£40,000 - £50,000 

 We are working with a medium sized developer that design and deliver their own projects to the highest quality. 

Project wise they work on challenging sites and created residences of up to 100 units with elements of mixed use subject to the project.     

With an internal team of 10, they now have the need to bring in an experienced Architect that has design flair. 

You will have excellent communication skills also for team leading and really want to further your knowledge with the nitty gritty of the building process.   

As a business they use executive architects for detailing.   

Our client wishes to hire someone with all round capability who can work closely with the multi- disciplinary team and lead complex projects from concept through to completion.

 Minimum of 3 days in the office per week which will very much depend on the stages of projects and necessary requirements for projects. 

 The current project is a £15million mixed-use residential and commercial scheme in London. 

·manage the internal design team – working closely with the project and construction managers to deliver the scheme

·lead and coordinate the project team

·produce drawings, visualisations, presentations and specifications

·report to associates and directors and maintain action and design registers

·undertake cost testing exercises to balance design, quality, programme and cost. Assist with the procurement of subcontractors and materials

·manage and mentor junior members of staff

·input into office standards and processes

Key skills and experience:

·ARB registered with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience working on UK residential and mixed-use projects

 

·demonstrate excellent design and presentation skills

·experience in producing and maintaining design programmes, schedules, and action lists

·excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·sound knowledge of UK building regulations, current and emerging planning policy

·experience working with external delivery architects would be an advantage
