Be part of the vision; be part of the RIBA.
The RIBA is a global professional membership body, and a cultural organisation, driving excellence in architecture.
Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: London, 76 Portland Place and remote (the RIBA will be trialling a hybrid-approach to post-pandemic working)
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent contract
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members.
A fantastic opportunity has opened for the right person to work with us in the RIBA continuing education (CPD) team based in London, processing content for architects to learn from and supporting customers. The CPD Assistant supports this busy income-generating education programme. Specifically, you will be the gatekeeper and first contact for supporting the needs of the companies providing RIBA-assessed seminars to professionals. Your primary role will be to process and track their content submissions for internal assessment. You will also provide administrative support to the Head of CPD and assist with the general activities of the CPD team within the RIBA Practice Department.
You will have the following demonstrable experience:
- Working in a busy office environment
- Supporting customers in a busy helpdesk-type environment
- Meeting daily customer deadlines
- Working to agreed processes and communication protocols
You should be degree qualified (or equivalent). Knowledge of the architecture, design or construction fields would be advantageous.
In addition to general administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, you will be demonstrably highly digitally literate. You will be comfortable with picking up new technology, such as customer databases, financial administration, and work management processes. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills and be able to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide variety of people. Please note that this is not an events management job and that this team does not arrange events.
In return we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues, and the chance to really make a difference. If you think you have what it takes to perform this role effectively, then we’d love to hear from you.
The RIBA offers employees a range of staff benefits including 26.5 days of annual leave + half-day for Christmas shopping, paid closure between Christmas & New Year, season ticket loan and generous pension scheme. For more details on our benefits click here
