Do you have an interest in championing learning opportunities for pupils and young people?

We are currently recruiting for a creative and experienced person to deliver RIBA’s National Schools Programme in the north of England and Wales. The postholder will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and motivating learning programme delivered in schools and in partnership with architects.

This role is integral to the delivery of the RIBA’s broader cultural activities, and includes a wide range of audience focused opportunities such as:

  • National Schools Programme – deliver a high-achieving unique programme partnering architects and schools
  • Architecture Ambassadors – nurture, recruit and train our Architecture Ambassadors
  • Digital programming – expand our existing digital offer for schools
  • Collection access – reveal and expand pupils’ access to our world-class collection
  • High impact projects – ensure we actively reach out to new and underrepresented audiences.

All deliverables will be underpinned by best practice in learning with a strong focus on creativity and play. The successful candidate will work closely with Learning colleagues delivering our schools programme in London and informal learning programmes for children/families, older adults and communities. They will also need to build positive relationships with RIBA offices and architects based across the UK.

As our Schools Programme Coordinator, you will bring experience of high-quality cultural programming, a sound understanding of working with schools, strong motivational skills and an aptitude for teamwork. You will also be passionate about inclusion and diversity. Your ability to transform curriculum-based learning into meaningful and inspiring sessions will make you a stand-out candidate for the role.

In return, we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues and the chance to really make a difference. We welcome and encourage job applicants from all backgrounds and sector experience.

The RIBA offers employees a range of staff benefits including 26.5 days of annual leave + half-day for Christmas shopping, paid closure between Christmas & New Year, season ticket loan and generous pension scheme. For more details on our benefits click here
