A fantastic opportunity has been presented in the central London area for a talented Town Planner to join a prestigious multidisciplinary consultancy!

The Role

We are seeking applications form planners with confident communication skills, strong professional curiosity, and an instinct for client care. The ideal candidate should be self-motivating, innovative, organised, possess good negotiation skills and the have the ability to thrive under pressure.

Duties of the role

  • Responsible for preparing Planning Appraisals, Planning Statements, and other supporting material.
  • Undertaking research tasks.
  • Drafting advice letters/reports and correspondence with external agencies.
  • Date-to-day management of planning projects including liaising with other in-house and external disciplines.
  • Attendance at external project meetings.
  • First point of contact for client and consultant team members on projects.
  • Co-ordinating planning application submissions.
  • Planning CPD presentations to architectural colleagues.
  • Supporting the Head of Planning, Associate Planners and Senior Planners in all aspects of the business.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level (RTPI accredited).
  • Member of or working towards membership of the RTPI.
  • Previous post-qualification experience of 1+ years in the private sector ideal.
  • Knowledge of planning regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the London/ South-East planning environment would be advantageous.
