We are currently working in partnership with an AJ 100 Practice that is currently seeking a BIM Manager to take the lead role in the BIM management of a Prestigious conservation project.**

Our client was founded in the 1940's and has grown to over 250 people across 11 UK offices. In this time, they have established themselves as an industry leader in planning advice, heritage consultancy, building surveying, conservation, and contemporary architecture. Working with public bodies, charities, trusts, private companies, contractors, developers, and individuals, this practice has been involved in the care and development of some of the best loved buildings and places in the UK and abroad. The practice provides sensitive restoration and repair schemes and modern design in historic contexts. Their bold and contemporary designs are spread across a variety of sectors including cultural, masterplanning, education, ecclesiastical, public, hospitality, residential and many more.
Due to the client requirements they require a BIM manager to take a lead role in the management of the project based in Manchester with Long term plans for the role to develop into a regional BIM lead.


Role & Responsibilities

- Point of contact for all modeling related documentation and verification of design Models
- Setup and configuration of the project in Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, AutoCAD etc
- Assist in managing the project Common Data Environments (CDE)
- Ensure ongoing development and implementation of standards, templates and libraries; especially Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD platforms
- Audit and compliance with standards; especially contractual Level 2 BIM requirements
- Preparation of BIM models and asset information for handover to client. Ensuring compatibility with client EDMS (Electronic Document Management System), CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) systems and other client requirements.
- Project management on BIM360: project setup, user management, information exchange via workflows when used as CDE
- Specifying BIM survey models requirements and ensuring compatibility with said requirements
- Support project team working with Point Cloud survey data
- Internal team support for queries and issues with digital design applications
- Demonstrate techniques and best practice to enable peer to peer learning
- Internal continuing education and training sessions to complement formal external and e-learning provision
- Attendance of design team meetings.

Required Skills & Experience

- Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience within the UK Architectural sector
- Experience in using Revit, Navisworks and BIM360
- Degree or equivalent qualification in relation to the role
- Three years plus experience of BIM coordination and management on projects at BIM level 2
- In-depth knowledge of workflows based on Autodesk AEC collection
- Ability to communicate with colleagues in multiple disciplines to achieve BIM performance.
