Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: London (the RIBA is currently moving to a hybrid office / home working approach)

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent contract

The Facilities and Maintenance department provide a wide range of hard and soft services, property and environmental management across the RIBA. We are primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the RIBA’s Grade 2* listed Headquarters and several other buildings located in London and supporting the wider RIBA estate regionally.

It’s an exciting time at the RIBA. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Health & Safety Environmental Manager to join the team. You will support RIBA’s work on best practice Health & Safety, statutory compliance, driving a positive Health & Safety culture and supporting the RIBA in its Health & Safety & sustainability strategy to achieve Carbon Net Zero by 2030.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of the strategy in accordance with ethical guidelines and corporate policies of both internal and external vendors, as well as auditing Health & Safety and environmental operations. They will also be able to demonstrate evidence of applying legal, statutory and environmental compliance in all things Health & Safety. Additionally, they will have experience and knowledge of delivering environmental accreditations such as ISO 14001 and delivering best practice in this field.
