Experienced Architectural Assistant (RIBA Part II)

The group has seen a sustained period of growth in the past year and is now looking for motivated, ambitious people to join the architectural team within SPD Studio within a proactive office working environment.

You will be an experienced RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant, you will work alongside Architects and Technologists on projects through all RIBA Stages of Work; from concept design, planning application drawings, technical drawings and specifications as well as assisting other members of staff and attending site visits.

Essential Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, detailed planning and technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers and make modifications to existing drawings 
• Use a variety of software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models 
• Liaise with architects, engineers and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians
• Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
• Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
• Maintain accurate records

Key Skills

Essential

• Over 5 years’ experience in architectural practice
• RIBA Part II or equivalent
• Trained in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Experienced using Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
• Attention to detail
• Proactivity/takes initiative
• Integrity/honesty
• Strategic thinking

Desirable

• Experienced using Lumion render software or similar
