Salary: £30,720 – £35,840 per annum
Location: Initially working remotely, with travel across London as required
Hours: 35 hours per week, 6-month Fixed Term Contract ending March 2021

The RIBA’s London Region is a small but dynamic team which supports some of the best architects in the world. Our 12,000 members are based across London but work all around the world.  We work closely with all our members to provide them with support, business opportunities and high-quality training to help them maintain their global reputation.

With the increasing involvement of members in London in the work of the RIBA, we are recruiting for a Member Relations Manager to focus on member relationship creation, development and management. The aim is to broaden the appeal of the RIBA to our existing members and to make it more attractive to potential members.

This role is responsible for membership recruitment and retention activities with individual architects, architectural practices and schools of architecture. Through liaising with members and potential members, engagement with London architectural groups and regional council and external partners to increase local level engagement of those outside the Institute.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, people friendly and conscientious Member Relations Manager to develop, manage and deliver our annual program relating to membership growth and retention. Tasks may include motivating and supporting member-led activities, communicating to members via various channels, curating engaging events for different audiences on architectural and non-architectural themes.

You will have knowledge and preferably experience of working in architecture or a related creative industry, or of a similar management role in a related organisation. You should have proficient desktop publishing and design skills, Clear and effective written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to engage and communicate with a professional audience are essential for this role. Excellent project management, organisation and accurate numerical skills are also essential.

Evening and weekend work will occasionally be required.  Regular travel around London and occasional UK and international travel may also be required.
