Job Details

We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join our team at Cygnet!

This is a National role which requires regular presence on site across the Cygnet portfolio and a will require weekly overnight travel, for this reason a base location will be agreed with the successful applicant.

The Role

Reporting to the Design Manager you will play an integral role in working across the Cygnet property team and portfolio developing and coordinating critical project information on time to Cygnet standards.  The role is to be varied and fast-past in order to ensure successful project delivery as well as to keep our Estate in line with all necessary standards and guidance.   

You will also be a key member of the property team involved with our systems and procedures and working across all disciplines – including Viewpoint and Field View to ensure that accurate information is held that is fully up-to-date and accurate. These such systems are to be the backbone to project management within the property team providing liaison internally and with external contractors as well as other third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years’ UK working experience in practice or client side architectural position.
  • Good working experience primarily of AutoCAD but knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop preferable.
  • Healthcare experience preferable but an enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn essential.
  • Support the production of project CAD deliverables including drawings that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant.

  • Thorough working knowledge of UK building regulations, CDM regulations and capable of producing building regulations and planning application drawings to a high standard.
  • Experience in producing internal joinery and fit out details.
  • Understanding of M&E installations.
  • Good working knowledge of MS office package.
  • Good document management and maintenance of design and drawing standards.
  • Capable of working in high pressure, fast paced environment within a small team where good communication is essential.
