Senior Chartered Architect

Janus Conservation is a very specialised and respected firm of architects, surveyors and heritage consultants with a proven track record of delivering a wide range of projects using traditional procurement and traditional contracts. We work with some of the country’s most important historic buildings and structures dealing with complex and challenging projects. Current clients include, the National Trust, The Rothschild Estate and The Crown Estate, along with many smaller domestic clients.

This role would suit a chartered architect with around 5-10 years post qualifying experience across a broad range of the architect’s traditional roles and with strong conservation lean - having either achieved or working towards a conservation accreditation.

We are looking for someone to play a key role in the practice, helping to manage and build the architecture arm of the company. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of statutory approvals, conservation philosophy and the ability to lead on detailing and new design, with strong AutoCAD skills and experience working with builders and administering contracts. 

The person we are looking for will need to have good conservation knowledge and experience working with historic buildings, good technical skills and strong contract administration and leadership skills.
