An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a talented Planner or Senior Town Planner to join one of the UK's leading international multi-disciplinary Consultancies! Due to my clients continued success working on major developments across the country, they are looking to expand their busy team!

My client works throughout the UK with major landowners, local authorities, infrastructure providers, utility and energy companies and housebuilders and developers. Their projects are often high profile and the leading edge of professional practice!

At Consultant grade the position will be principally responsible for supporting colleagues on the preparation and submission of planning applications, making written representations to emerging local plans and related work in the promotion of strategic land for development. There will also be opportunities to work on infrastructure projects of national significance and to contribute to Environmental Statements, sustainability appraisals and stakeholder engagement activities. In addition to the above, the Senior Consultant role could also include for the winning of business, and the responsibility of managing colleagues and other consultants through the preparation of planning applications!

The skills and qualifications desired in a candidate are:

  • RTPI accredited degree (or equivalent) in a Town Planning related field of study.
  • Ful member of the RTPI.
  • Previous experience within private consultancy.
  • Have an interest and experience of strategic land promotion and residential land-use planning.
  • Ability to develop new client relationships.
  • Confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
