We require an experienced person to be responsible for the management of a range of large and complex construction projects from inception to completion. You will be required to coordinate the liaison with external clients and internal departments and manage a multi-disciplinary professional design team, ensuring schemes are fit for purpose and are delivered to meet all necessary statutory, grant award or internal requirements. You will also be required when necessary to provide all documentation relating to projects and obtain, check and prepare estimates, monitoring spend and funding levels for designated projects and produce or assist in the production of business cases. You will be responsible for controlling budgets and projects vary in complexity and value up to £40m.

This is a key role with the development team and will require creative thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure deadlines are met while dealing with multiple projects in a demanding environment.

You should be a professionally qualified member (or probationer) of a recognised professional institution, i.e. RICS, CIOB, ARB, IET, IMechE with a relevant degree, plus have significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles or have a proven track record of relevant extensive work experience and have demonstrable professional knowledge of work practices, processes and procedures relating to the delivery of large or complex projects. Wider relevant or commercial experience will also be considered. It is also essential for this role that you have proven experience of decision making on large and complex projects.

This is a permanent, full-time position for 36.25 hours per week worked five days out of seven to be arranged. Applications for job share will be considered.
