Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Initially working remotely with return to London office in due course
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, fixed-term contract until 24 December 2021
This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to work in a varied role on a number of different projects being delivered by the RIBA Education team. The role ranges across developing materials to supporting architecture schools and students of architecture, assisting in the delivery of education awards and coordinating Membership Eligibility Assessment Panels for candidates with international qualifications. The post holder will work with Professional Education and Oxford Brookes University to support our RIBA office-based examinations, open days, graduation ceremonies, and annual reviews. In addition, this role will support student prizes scholarships and bursaries schemes as well as promote the wider adoption of architecture apprenticeships.
The post would particularly suit someone with an undergraduate degree, master’s degree and/or professional qualification in architecture, or a closely related design or construction discipline. You will possess knowledge and experience of the architectural education and professional training process, the complexity of higher education issues, procedures, and relevant political processes in the UK and overseas impacting on higher education.
Strong project management and planning skills are required, plus the ability to communicate well in person and in writing. Previous experience of assessment/judging processes would be beneficial. Flexibility of thinking and capability to handle multiple lines of activity will be advantageous in this post. You will have demonstrative experience in writing reports and taking minutes, using good written English, and proficiency in a second world language would also be desirable.
The RIBA offers employees a range of staff benefits including 26.5 days of annual leave + half-day for Christmas shopping, paid closure between Christmas & New Year, season ticket loan and generous pension scheme. For more details on our benefits click here
