This is an outstanding client-side opportunity for a planner to join an experienced strategic land promoter and master developer company operating across the UK.

My client is a private company with a strong financial backing that actively invests in a wide range of property assets across the UK. They work across the residential, retail, office, industrial and mixed-use sectors. They are currently looking for a dynamic and driven Planning Manager to join their tenacious and hard-working team in their London office. The role will have a Strategic Land focus and requires a planner who has experience in this area.

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria to be considered for the role:

Qualifications

  • Planning degree and/or postgraduate qualification.
    * RTPI or RICS membership.

Experience

  • 3-6 years (2-3 years post RTPI or RICS membership).
    * Private-sector planning consultancy, housebuilder or strategic land promoter experience.
    * Instructing and managing technical multi-disciplinary and legal teams.
    * Promoting sites through emerging Local Plans, preparing and submitting representations including attendance at Examinations in Public.
    * Managing major planning applications and appeals including attendance at public inquiries.
    * Negotiation with local planning authorities and consultees.
    * Stakeholder engagement and community consultation.
    * Good planning policy and process knowledge.
    * Involvement in major residential, industrial and mixed-use developments.

    * Use of own car and valid driving licence.
